DISINFENCTION means the destruction of pathogenic germs existing outside the human body, in order to prevent any contamination.
It may be achieved:
- on a preventive (prophylactic) basis – aiming to destroy any pathogenic or conditioned pathogenic germs which usually form the local germ environment and develop, adversely influencing the state of health of humans and livestock.
- on a mandatory basis – which is performed to control infectious or parasitic diseases, from the occurrence of the first cases until the liquidation of the entire outbreak.
The disinfection is performed by spraying with substances having a wide range of uses against microbes, bacilli and fungi. The reaction time in which the applied substances produce their effects is very short – between 30 seconds and maximum 1 hour.
For this operation we use professional solutions.
INSECT CONTROL represents the means and methods for the prevention and control of arthropods which carry and transmit (directly and indirectly) infectious-contagious and parasitic diseases to humans and livestock. The most frequently encountered species of insects in this field of activity are:
- the red kitchen bug, the black kitchen bug, the fly, the mosquito, the cloths moth, the house cricket, the human flea, the house spider, the wasp, the black ant, the carpet moth etc.
It may be achieved:
- on a preventive (prophylactic) basis, aiming to prevent insect breeding and propagation by creating unfavorable conditions for their development.
It should be performed on a permanent basis, preferably once every 3 months; - for curative purposes (therapeutic or control) in the outbreak, aiming to destroy and remove the insects and arthropods in the unit where it is performed; it is carried out at repeated intervals of 10 – 14 days (the period of incubation of the insects) to destroy the outbreaks, and is then followed by prophylactic insect control.
What it prevents:
Insect control prevents and controls the transmission of certain diseases by insects and parasites. In addition to the discomfort produced, the insects are agents causing economic damage, as well as agents of transmission of infectious and parasitic diseases to humans and livestock.
It is useful to know that out of the 1,200,000 species of insects, a small number only are useful to man, such as the bee, the silkworm and water insects which are food for the fish. The great danger represented by harmful insects is due to their capacity to overbreed and their exaggerated voracity.
Material damages consist in the transmission of diseases to crops, as well as livestock. Here are several of the diseases propagated by insects, either by prickling or by coming into direct contact with the food: recurring fever, exanthematic typhus, tuberculosis, plague, malaria, skin diseases, dermatosis, irritations of the eye membrane, food poisoning, virosis etc.
The insecticides used are the best in the field, pertaining to the III-rd class of toxicity.
Rodent control represents the destruction of harmful rodents – it plays an extremely important role, because the rodents are a constant source of diseases and economic loss.
The main rodents in our country are: the ground squirrel, the gray rat – the house rat; the mound-building mouse; the blue species of the house rat; the wood mouse.
The control measures are applied:
On a preventive – prophylactic – defensive basis, consisting in: preventing the access and establishment of rodents in the objective, removing the sources of water and food for rodents, destruction of the shelters for rodents.
Rodent control prevents and fights the transmission of certain diseases by rodents, through bites or contact. The great danger posed by harmful rodents consists in that they cause numerous material damages and pose a significant threat to human health.
The role played by rodents in transmitting a large number of bacterial, viral and parasitic diseases to humans and livestock is well-known.
Mice and especially rats are sources of infection and vectors disseminating such diseases as trichinellosis, leptospirosis, brucellosis, aphthous fever, viral gastroenteritis, anthrax, rabies, food poisoning etc. It should also be mentioned that rats and mice destroy, pollute and render unusable other food, installations and spaces in addition to those which they consume or affect, thus causing huge losses.
Rodent control is used to fight against rodents, animals which, according to the research conducted, are known to be very well organized – each colony of rodents (mice or rats) has its young males which, after finding the food, bring along the rest; for this reason, we use substances working in a period between 5 and 7 days by means of blood coagulation (the animal feels bad and withdraws in the gallery, where it dies; thus, the occurrence of any smell in the treated space is avoided).
The substances used are: raticide baits based on mold-free grains, meat, animal blood and fat, containing the active substances pertaining to the third generation. The substances are applied in rodent poison stations, to avoid their being consumed by the livestock. All these operations will be carried out in accordance with the laws in force (Government Ordinance 536/1997, Law 98, etc).
Professional products will be used for these operations, such as: plastic poison stations for mice and rats, cardboard poison stations for mice and rates, solutions and baits for mice and rats.
